Who is Jesus Christ? That is the most important question you will ever answer. Many recognize Jesus as a significant historical figure, a great teacher, or an example of compassion. But what does the Bible, God’s Word, say?
The Bible teaches us that Jesus is God’s one and only Son. He was born to a woman and he lived life as a man, facing similar difficulties/issues that we face today. Yet he lived life perfectly, never falling short of the standards for mankind set by a holy God. In spite of his innocence, Jesus was sentenced to death and crucified on a Roman cross. Jesus, being God, could have resisted this injustice but he chose to die as a sacrifice for all human beings, as punishment for each of our sinful lives. On the third day, Jesus conquered death and arose from the grave. His death gives us the hope of an eternal life with God in heaven.
Jesus desires to have a best friend relationship with each of us. He offers an abundant life now and an eternal life later to all who will place their trust in him. Because he died for us, we must be willing to live for him and make him the Lord (boss) of our lives.
