Discovery Lunch - Several times each year we invite guest to First Baptist to join the staff for lunch following a morning service. This lunch will help us get to know each other and will give you the opportunity to ask questions about the church.

Discovery Class - Following each Discovery Lunch, we offer a four week class taught by the Pastor. This class will give you more detailed information about the church including our discipleship process, our beliefs, our finances, and our organizational structure.

• The God of the Holy Bible is the only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver and Ruler of the universe. 
  
• God has revealed Himself to mankind as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, each with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as Savior of the world.
  
• Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. We believe that salvation is found by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. We believe Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again.
  
• The Holy Bible is God’s revelation to mankind, inspired by God, without error, it is an accurate record of history and future of mankind, and it depicts the birth, life, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thus, it’s the sole basis of our faith. We accept the scriptures of the Holy Bible as authoritative in all matters of faith, practice, and principle. 
  
• The ordinances of the church are (1) water baptism by emersion as a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and (2) the Lord’s Supper as a reminder of what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross.

Our Affiliations

The First Baptist Church of Hazel Green is an autonomous local body of believers. We recognize the benefit of cooperating with like minded Christian churches to share the good news of Jesus Christ around the world. Therefore we voluntarily support the work of the Madison Baptist Association, the Alabama Baptist State Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention, as well as other mission partnerships.
